Music Performance
In addition to being an audio production specialist and dedicated music instructor, Nathan Zavalney is a versatile guitarist, percussionist, keyboardist, and electronic artist. Nathan has performed with a variety of groups including Drum Brothers, Dolce Canto, Headwaters Dance Company, The Open Field Artists, Sueno Lunar, The Trance Figure Trio, Wrecking Crew Productions, violinist Beth Yougnblood, belly dancer Kelli Marie, as well as many solo performances.
Nathan has worked as a musical accompanist with many teachers and styles, including yoga instructor David Garrigue, belly dance instructor Kelli Marie, Turning the Wheel Productions, the University of Monatan Dance Department, dance therapist Bree Morrison, West African dance master Djeneba Sako, Portland Tribal Style belly dance instructor Jane Archer, as well as a variety of Modern, contact improvisation, dance theater, and ecstaticdance classes and workshops.

Nathan is available as a musical accompanist for for dance, yoga, or other movement classes and performance. He has worked doing music for modern dance, West African, dance theater, contact improv, belly dance classes, children's movement classes, and a variety of yoga classes and workshops. Nathan uses a one-man band style setup of instruments and a dynamic and attentive musical sensibility to support the facilitator and group. As an experienced musical improvisor, Nathan has cultivated his ability to follow the activities and flow and arc of a class without the need for instructions or preparations from the class leader.
